Laurel, Maryland, Police Officer Bennett Johns Protects and Serves Equally As Love Forgives

When Laurel Maryland police officer, Bennett Johns, was called to the local Giant grocery store in Laurel, Maryland, he was expecting a typical arrest for shoplifting.

A young mother had been stopped by store security for attempting to steal a pack of disposable diapers that cost $15. After the woman was cited for misdemeanor theft, she broke down explaining that she couldn’t afford the diapers for her two-year-old son.
