Spreading Love and Kindness Across Asia

New year, new tour leg!

With the beginning of the new year, the Love Button team continued on our heartwarming journey across countries on Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour. This time, we focused on spreading love, kindness, and hope in Asia.

Love Button on Tour: Asia Recap

Our first stop was in Manila, Philippines, where we partnered with Project Kapwa, a youth-led organization dedicated to creating a society of inclusion. Together with Angat Buhay, the largest volunteer network in the Philippines, we visited a local community to deliver baskets full of goods to 150-200 underprivileged youth. These baskets included interactive learning tools, toys, groceries, and more, aiming to brighten the lives of young minds in the community.

Continuing our journey in Manila, we collaborated with Love Education, an organization committed to inspiring young minds through quality learning activities. At a local school, we hosted an “I am LovEd” party, engaging 50 underprivileged students in storytelling, art activities, and promoting kindness and education. Our goal was to boost reading skills, enhance creativity through art, and foster a love for learning among the children.

Next, we traveled to Singapore, where we volunteered with a variety of local organizations.

Our first collaboration was with Krsna’s Free Meals, an organization that serves breakfasts and lunches daily to workers in need. We assisted in their soup kitchen, preparing, cooking, and serving meals while engaging with beneficiaries to understand and support the diverse community.

Next, we joined Lions Befrienders, an organization that supports active aging among seniors by providing various activities to promote health and mobility. Together over days two, we engaged seniors in activities such as hip hop dancing and gardening, fostering fun and meaningful interactions to combat loneliness.

The last organization we collaborated with in Singapore was SG Suncares, an organization that operates local volunteer centers. We participated in their “Board Game Bistro” program, playing games with underprivileged youth and creating a supportive environment for fun and learning.

Our final country stop was in Bangkok, Thailand where we partnered with Second Chance Bangkok, an organization that offers affordable recycled goods to the community, promoting sustainability and economic empowerment. We assisted in running the second-hand store, engaged with community members, and organized activities for youth, fostering connections and environmental awareness.

Throughout the Asia tour, we witnessed the transformative power of love and kindness in bringing communities together, uplifting spirits, and creating lasting impact. We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with these incredible organizations and look forward to continuing our journey of spreading love and hope across the globe.
