Couple Ravaged by Illness Shows How Love Unites

Cystic fibrosis could not stop Katie Donovan and Dalton Prager from falling in love with each other. Katie and Dalton, who both suffer from Cystic fibrosis, began their relationship as online friends, until their bond grew so much so that they planned a date. Despite the fact that Dalton had an extremely contagious infection and doctors strongly urged Katie not to see him, her love was too strong to keep away from him. Two years after this first loving meeting at age 20, the couple married. On September 17, 2016, after 6 years of marriage, Dalton passed away. Just 5 days later, on September 22, Katie died. As Katie once said, “I’d rather have five years of being in love and just really completely happy than 20 years of not having anybody and just having nothing.” They taught the world the power of true love, because Love Unites.
